The frequency of changes and the degree of change can be set to suit your circumstances. If you have a very popular ecommerce site you would probably set it to hourly, whereas if you are an architect in Brisbane you would probably only check it daily or weekly.
And if you operate in a competitive market you may want to set up a Visual Ping on your competitors pricing page.
One of the great things with Visual Ping is that, as the name suggests, it detects visual changes. When you set it up you can specify which part of the page to monitor.
