Don’t Always Blame Your SEO – It Could be the Election

The calls started about October last year. “The phone has stopped ringing.” “I’m not getting many enquiries.” “It must be my SEO”, they said.

The truth is for many industries the last few months have been very, very quiet.

I’ve had calls from dentists, hairdressers, plumbers, car hire companies, retailers, all sorts of businesses.

Are things quiet for you? It may not be your SEO at fault.

You see when people are uncertain they are less likely to spend – less likely to spend on your goods or services.

The big question causing this uncertainty is: “who will win the Australian Election?”

Follow on questions include” “What will happen to property prices?” “What will happen to the share market if franking credits are abolished?” “Will I still have a job in 6 months?” “How can we cut costs?”

All I can suggest is keep you head down, keep adding quality content to your web site and build backlinks to that content.

This quiet time will end.
